YOYO INTRODUCED AT THE VENEZUELAN NATIONAL BOOK FAIR FESTIVAL DE LA LECTURA CHACAO!
Tuesday, May 31, 2011
This weekend was yoyo’s first national (Venezuelan) appearance. The project ‘play and learn with miffy’ was presented by the local creators of young sloth yoyo, the first international friend of miffy, born on paper during the 10-day co-creation in the suburbs of Caracas last year May.
Writer Reyva Franco and designers Yonel Hernández and Cristina Müller were there to share their experiences of the workshop and the co-creation of yoyo, which was created according to the design legacy of Dick Bruna.
Next to this yoyo was silk screened by 50 children in a printing program from Cristina Müller, which resulted in 50 unique yoyo’s. Well known designer Alvaro Sotillo couldn’t resist and also printed his own example of the already famous Venezuelan sloth.
