VISIT US @AFRIKADAG

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Butterfly Works invites you to our workshop in which we will search for cross-overs between the computer and the mobile phone.

Together with Schoolnet Africa we organise this event on Afrikadag 2009.

Both active Learning and ICT are important elements in a modern quality education. Active learning means participating actively in the learning process. Computers and other digital means are ideal for usage in combination with active learning methods. Not many African schools have computer labs nor is active learning widespread. A few organizations however are active in trying to deliver (inter)active education to young Africans.

The mobile phone is of course currently much more common in Africa than computers and this begs the question: can the mobile phone offer new possibilities for learning? more about our workshop
