BUTTERFLY WORKS IN ‘IMPACT’ ALLIANCE WITH OXFAM NOVIB

We have worked together with Oxfam Novib and with many of her partners in the past with good results, now we are set to truly make an impact.
Thinking ahead to 2011 when the new round of structural funding from the Dutch government begins, we have recently signed an alliance with Oxfam Novib, SOMO, 1%CLUB and Hirda.
Together we have formed the ‘Impact’ alliance and will apply as a group to the department of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands for funds for the period 2011 up till 2016.
As it happens we have worked together with Oxfam Novib and with many of her partners in the past with good results.
We see this as a great chance to upscale our work while maintaining our innovative approach. The deal is not done yet however, the ministry will decide in April 2010 if we are allowed to submit a full proposal and only in November 2010 will we get the definite results.
In the meantime we will of course continue our work and various strategies to make our work self sustaining.
