MOBILE LEARNING, AFGHANISTAN
Monday, July 25, 2011
We ran a co-design wokshop in Kabul and Parwan, Afghanistan
The aim of the workshops was to research and develop a method for a new mLearning project
there, which aims to support learning of maths
and sciences for children ages 10-12 years.
Afghanistan is perhaps not known here for technological advances, however in places where the infrastructure is bad, mobiles have that added advantage of being ubiquitous and relatively cheap.

Working with Oxfam Afghanistan and CHA in Kabul was a pleasure, the Ministry of Education in Parwan received us with a warm welcome and we learned a lot visiting the Univsersity of Kabul and hearing from professors and students about the education system in Afghanistan.
The co-design workshop itself went extremely smoothly with men and women, girls and boys. We are working on a full write up of the prcess and outcomes. In the menatime check out the flickr set.
