On November 21st 2008, we launched a campaign to identify and celebrate Kenya’s unsung peace heroes; people or organisations who did, courageous, heroic things during the post-election violence.

People who contributed to positive change in the post election period by organising peace marches, bringing together former friends or other thins to strengthen social cohesion in their community. Through SMS, phone and internet the Kenyan public is asked to nominate their unsung peace hero.

Nominees are coming in slowly by slowly since the 21st of November. A jury will select five heroes whose stories will be published in January 2009.
